Hello everyone welcome to the next important post. This is about the water resources of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has many resources of Natural water. There have many river, ponds, lakes, canal, even there has a Bay of Bangle. Thees are provides fresh natural water to Bangladesh. Water helps to developing in Bangladesh in many ways. On the other hand Bangladesh God gifted water resources, that is rain. There are much rain water in Bangladesh to help here.


We Know the water is life. Because without water we can live a moment. Even an any animal. So water is must needed for us. And also we need to drink pure water. Bangladesh is a river base country. So here a lot of small and biggest river all around the Bangladesh. As a result in this country all development and all production has depended on the water. Most of the carrying depend on the water way. Water is very essential for the ensuring food production.
The main sources of water of Bangladesh are rainfall, surface water, and ground water. There are three chief water faces in Bangladesh, they are the Ganges river, the Brahmaputra river, and the Meghna river. Bangladesh has 230 rivers including 57 international rivers. Among them, 54 rivers, originated in India, including the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and the Meghna. The agricultural system is controlled with these three main river's water flows in Bangladesh.
Surface Water : The surface water resources comprise water available from following rivers and static water bodies as ponds, Beels and Haors. Surface water inflows of the country vary from a maximum of about 140000 m3/s in August to a minimum of about 7000 m3/s in February. Two main rivers , the Brahmaputra and the Ganges account for more than 80% of stream-flows here. These water has supported to our agriculture and save the country.
Rainfall water : The rainy season is consists of Bangladesh are the two months - "Ashar and Srabon". In this season there have a lot of rain in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has an average rainfall of about 2300 mm ranging from 1250-5000 mm. Mean annual rainfall is lowest in center -west (1250mm) It increases towards the north, east and south, reaching more than 2500 mm in the exterm north -west, near and within the northern and estern hills, and near the cost, and exceeding 5000 mm in the extreme north -east. In all areas, about 85-90 percent of the annual total occurs between mid April and end September.

Ground Water  :: Bangladesh has increased the system for groundwater irrigation for rice production in dry season or month. Two major ground irrigation devices are deep Tubewell and  Shallow Tubewell. In 2006 the number of DTW increased to 28000 from 1400 in the early eighters, irrigating 0.7 million hectares. The number of STWs increased from about 0.5 million in the early eightes to 1.2 million in 2006, irrigating 3.12 million hectors. About 85 percent of total irrigated area is covered by groundwater. STWs have been the dominate source, providing 65 percent of total irrigation area and 80 percent of total groundwater irrigation.
